Looking for XJ Service Support Recommendations SE Michigan

I will be moving a 97 XJ to the Farmington Hills, MI area and am looking for a shop or a dealership that has suitably qualified technicians that know the difference between backlash and the back seat. Private shops or stealerships are ok; I am looking for the qualified mechanic that cares about the vehicle and customer. It has been over 25 years since I have lived in the area and I am sure many of the facilities are gone or have been reconfigured with this last economic go around and I would not know where to start.

I have great mechanic at my local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership here in the Sacramento, CA region and have been spoiled.

The XJ is a stock 97 Country with 141k that I will be keeping stock and want to maintain it and preserve it knowing what a Michigan climate can pose.

Any thoughts or leads are appreciated!

first off... welcome back to the mid west. (not my cup of tea, but some people seem to like it)

second... if you skate, farmington has one of the best concrete parks ive ever been too.

third... what exactly is it your looking for? just a reputable shop to do mechanical work as needed? or are you trying to prepare your vehicle for the impending winter(s) ahead?

Primarily mechanical work and regular checkups to spot XJ issues before they become a problem. My nephew will be the fortunate benificiary of this equipment loan and while he is quite smart mechanically, the age of the vehicle puts it into the analog realm whereas he is quite clearly of the digital age.

I can't be of any help with your question, but I will welcome you (back) to Michigan. I moved to Ann Arbor from Davis, CA less than a year ago.
