Looking for a good place in the northeast to have some axles built.

I'm starting to plan out my full-width buildup, and am looking for a shop reasonably close to me (central New York) that can do things like re-tube an axle, weld on new bracketry, and install gears and lockers. Anyone have any recommendations?

2inches and 31s.. to fullwidths ?? :confused1
I have a D35 now, so going any bigger in tire size would mean that I'd need to swap in a new rear axle, and as long as I've got to replace the rear, why not a new front axle too? I'll be doing a bigger lift, bigger tires, new axles, SYE, etc all in one fell swoop, hopefully before next year's NAC-fest.

I'd have to say if you have a garage and some time. Do it yourself. I know its not one of the easiest things to do, but it can be done. I'm just taking my time building up everything. Grind down everything, new brackets/perches, gears, etc. I've learned it all in the last few months in my garage. It may take me more time, but I know that I can do it if something breaks. Plus, it's relaxing to build stuff in the garage (to me anyway).

If not, I'm sorry there really isn't anything good around me that I could recommend. There are a few shops, but I wouldn't trust them with my stuff.

I have a garage and lots of time, but I've never welded, and don't think something as important as control arm mounts or coil buckets would be a good first project to weld.

I'm going to do as much myself as possible though. I'm going to have the front D44 re-tubed (cast mounts), and gears and lockers installed into both axles. Most of the rest will be done by me if possible.

Aaron is the owner, nice guy , great place, i was just there this weekend, he built me a custom front stinger winch bumper. They do GREAT work. I was very impressed. Let him know Mike from Long Island with the cherokee bumper referred you. As soon as i get pics ill show the work he did.

here is the link, that bumper is the one he built me, the cherokee is his while building it to fit it up, i put a 10000 pound integrated t-max winch and i am very satisfied with what htey built, the center section holds air for OBA as well
