J jeep pox NAXJA Forum User NAXJA Member Location Mesa, Az May 6, 2013 #2 get a piece of 1/2" plate 6" wide and however long you need and drill the 8 holes you need and bingo you have a stronger then stock crossmember

POSJ NAXJA Forum User Location Minot ND, Unfortunately May 6, 2013 #3 1/2" plate would help lower your COG too...
