Well I got a friend who has a nice 220mig and just got a plasma, drill-press, bender, etc and is gonna let me go crazy with 'em. So I'm gonna link the rear :D

I used to have some stock XJ coils lying around but eventually gave them away, I'm hoping someone will return the favor for me? Or how 'bout a 6 pack of your choice?

I have a set you can have, but I am not that close to you. I have some friends coming to visit this weekend from roseville. I could have them bring them back for you. Send me a pm if you think this would work for you. :)

i think it's going to work out to easily get them from 88flexj, but david and rockin-phil, thanks for the offers and please don't go throwing them away, I might need them if things fall through with 88flexj.

I think I'll be ordering joints, bushings, delrin, threaded rod, coupler nuts, etc this week :D I've been running numbers through the 4-link calculator and am getting about 115% for anti-squat, sounds like a great starting point. :D

I've got some FJ-80 rear springs. They are 1" larger OD, though.

Also have some stock XJ fronts.

are they longer, shorter, same? any idea how they compare in spring-rate?

I think the stock XJ spring-rate (160 right?) will be great for my very light back half. I just might make an adjustable threaded upper coil mount so I can change the height and cut the springs to stiffen spring-rate if need be.

How light is "very light"? I tried stock coils initially and they were WAY too soft. I'm currently running cut down Tomken 4.5" fronts and it handles much better. It also helps to have them captured at both the upper and lower mounts. My AS is 105% and it climbs like a goat.

my whole truck weighs about 3750 loaded for a weekend (and probably about 3650 after this conversion is done) and the weight bias is way towards the front, probably less than 1500 pounds on the rear tires so about 1000 sprung.

I will definitely capture them at both ends, and mounting points will be very flexible, so if I need to cut them down it won't be a problem. also keep in mind I have leafs up front which provide a lot of stability, my roll-center will be very high as well.

I might be running out to Foresthill next week-end - I'd be happy to relay on my way by if you can get them to me in San Jose... No sense making the whole damn drive if you don't have to...

I really appreciate the offer to help, but who are you talking to? 88flexj? He's got some friends taking them to Roseville for me, that's only a half hour from where I'm at and I go down there a lot anyway. And CRASH in Foresthill is less than a half hour from me also.

Thanks guys! I got offered 5 sets of coils within 24 hours, gotta love this place! It sounds like I'm good to go with getting them from 88flexj.

Brett, the FJ's are stiffer.
