Long Canyon and Shafer Trail in Tow Rig?

It looks to me like either of these trails are doable in my tow rig ('05 Grand Cherokee 4x4)?
Could I run these without much chance of trail damage?
Would they be more scenic or shorter than driving all the way up and around to either dead horse point or canyon lands?

I've done both of them in my 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins. You won't have any problems.
