E EnderAZ NAXJA Forum User Location Tucson Apr 27, 2013 #1 I bought a Rusty's 4.5" lift kit and the center pins don't seem to want to drop into the axle. Any ideas? Axle is a chrysler 8.25 and the XJ is a 93. The lift kit I'm trying to install is a Rusty's 4.5" spring pack.

S scottmcneal NAXJA Forum User Location not here Apr 27, 2013 #2 Are the pins in the leafs bigger than the holes in the spring plates? If yes, i would drill them to match.

kastein NAXJA Member NAXJA Member Location Rainy side of Washington Apr 30, 2013 #10 Agreed, I'd rather drill the perch, there is a lot more "spare" metal there, reducing the bolt head diameter changes things pretty significantly in a hurry. And it's way easier, slide the axle out a little, grab the drill, and have at it.
