lift question

I'm gonna get murdered for posting this question but here it goes. my buddy just got a yj, and he wants to run bigger tires than my xj, would a 3.5 inch black diamond lift allow him to run 33 inch tires...?

The 33's should fit o.k., but that's about the lowest you can comfortably fit 33's without trimming and using tj flares. I also have a yj in addition to a xj & zj. I love Jeeps, what can I say?
