Anyone going to/competing in the King of The Hill comp???
http://www.koth4x4.com/
I've never been, but my club has been and competed, and seem to think it's Da Bomb......

Looks intresting, but too far for me.

yeah...competed in the small class last year (i was on 32s and 30 locked)...now i am running 44 outback with detroit 456s and a matching 30 up front with shafts outta a tj.... o and i am on 35" claws.....

should be better....if anything it is worth going to for the action!!! some sweet rigs come to this every year and the course is INSANE!

Yup! Hosted by Rocket City Rock Crawlers (The club photographer actually lives up the street from me and owns a CJ8) Anywho, it's a blast and my dad's business sponsors it every year AAA Fix-It...

The rigs are always REALLY REALLY nice to see, and once it gets to the unlimited class it's a blast to watch rigs scream up the mountainside. I think a chevy avalanche actually competed last year and didn't do too bad!

Hey guys just saw this thread and wanted to bump it back to the top. Our club has worked hard to make this the 7th year we've put on this event. The course will be different as it is every year but still VERY challenging (as 256offroad can attest :jester: ). It is quite a days worth of 4-wheeling entertainment. If you think you have what it takes to be KOTH, bring your junk and prove it. :explosion:

256... Here's hopeing you get further than last year!

I took ours down this past sat for a workday and didn't get much further. Was running the 33" LTB's but only locked in the front. Made it about 1/3 of the way up the easy side. :laugh3:

You should do better with the 35's locked f/r.

yeah jr wanted to go ride a little up there one sunday...was gonna tag along with him but will have to see.

i wont have time to fab up the long arms so will have to do a short term fix for short arm angles and will go with drop brackets till i get the lowers made.
