What do you mean never made
I think what he means is that the "Honcho" was a trim package available on fullsize Jeep trucks from 76 to 78. In 76-77 it was available in black on gold and in 78 it was available in maroon/burgundy on gold. It was not a factory-produced trim kit from Jeep on the Comanche, however that would not necessarily stop someone from purchasing a Honcho decal set and putting them on a Comanche. This might have been what you had.

The other possibility is that it could have been a dealer-produced trim kit called the Honcho. In either case, it was not a factory available option on the Comanche...

Hey buddy i just wrote down what it is or was sorry i'm not up on my jeep history and its a picture of a picture because i dont have the truck anymore or a scanner

Actually, I think it looks pretty good despite the image quality. I wonder if it was a dealer-installed trim package, just because it looks relatively pro. Its very different from the factory J-truck Honcho trim packages, but it looks kinda cool in an 80's sort of way...

Never say never with these things... remember the 1-ton dually MJ a little while ago?

2WD AMC 727's are out there, but I couldn't find one local. I saw several 904's in old AMC cars. I ended up with a TH400 from a J-truck or Wagoneer, swapped to a 32 spline 2WD output and tail cone. This trans, the pan surface tilts down on the passenger side about 10 degrees for clocking in the Waggy. I was told to give it an extra half quart and not worry about it. :)
