K&N FIPK and TB Spacer.

Will it fit under the hood? The FIPK is pretty close to the top of the hood when its shut. Anyone have experience with this set up?

From what I've read, you'll need to cut down the FIPK to make it fit. I have an FIPK installed and there's not much clearance left even with no spacer.

I have Rusty's Air Tube with 9" filter and Poweraid TBS with no clearance issues. Then again, the FIPK is a big larger than the stock accordian hose. Ive always been curious as to if i've gained any performance vs fipk with my rustys.

nope, it won't fit. I tried to do that to mine and found out the hard way that the hood won't close without dimpling your hood up. Also, look at your FIPIK, it has pretty much a 1" spacer built into it. To make it fit, you pretty much have to cut about 3/4-1" off of the bottom and then you'll find you will have a very difficult time of getting it to stay in position, not to mention getting the clamp to hold. I ended up saying screw it, went back to the stock elbow, cut the FIPIK in half and threw away the top part. So now I have a $200 getto fab intake. NOT worth the money in my opinion.
