Just wondering...who's XJ is this?

I was at the Regal Cinemas in Stonecrest last night for a movie, and I saw a black XJ with a NAXJA sticker on it in the parking lot. Wondered who it belonged to? Here are a few pics:

OK, next question, how hard is it/what is involved in removing the front fender bumper end-caps and valance like in the 3rd pic? I have factory fog lights so I know it would look a little dumb without the nice valance surrounding them, but I am sick and tired of having to back straight out of my driveway almost into my neighbour's mailbox just to keep my front tires from rubbing against the front fenders...

The plastic end caps are held on by a couple of bolts and will slide off to the left (or right?) for complete removal.

You can do what I did and buy some pre-97 end caps to simply cap off the OE bumper. I bought these for a couple of bucks at the local Pick and Pull.

Dang. Old Blue does not look as purty as that anymore.

Thanks! That's a good idea and a great look too! I'll have to go to the pull-a-part as soon as I can find where it is...I miss my GPS!!

Not if you don't know what you're doing.

Measure twice(or more until you feel comfortable) then cut once. Cut on the outside of where you want it to end up, then go back and trim until it's right. If you take your time you can do it easily. I lopped the ends off my front and rear bumpers in about 5 minutes. I ran a strip of 2" tape across it at an angle I liked, and cut along the edge of the tape. Cleaned up the burrs a bit with a grinder, and sprayed some black on the cut edges. Done. As far as the horns and vacuum canister are concerned, I put the vacuum canister inside the engine bay between the overflow bottle and the distributor. I just rotated and bent the brackets for the horns so they're up out of the way. I'll look around and see if I have pics.

My only concern is I have factory fog lights installed, so if I remove the plastic bumper end-caps, it will expose them, and I don't know if it will look bad, with them just hanging there and all, unprotected...

That looks like Tyler's Jeep (ty20404)....I believe his brother is driving it now as he got a bimmer for himself.

That's www.pullapart.com (not plural).....and I was just up there Wednesday and they had a ZJ with everything still on the rear axle for a disc brake conversion...calipers, backing plates...hell even the rotors were still there. I started to get it all, but I just don't have the time to mess with that stuff on the Jeep right now (and I really need to stop spending money on it)

hope they dont mind having there tag# published i just cut my endcaps down maybe an inch or two with a sawsall you can figure out where to cut by looking at the rub marks or have someone else drive it and watch where they rub

Never met the guy...talked to him online briefly and I would agree.

I've seen this jeep around Walton also, it looks good. And the other day i saw another black XJ off in the distance in Snellville, my buddy and i have been trying to find out who actually drives it. If anyone knows it would be appreciated : )

Does anyone know how to remove the soft rubber piece behind the bumper end caps? You can clearly see it in this pic...more importantly (IMO), once removed, how hard would it be to get it back on? :gag:

Or, would I need it to mount the smaller pre-'97 'old style' end caps? I'd kind of prefer to leave it there, provided it will fit with the older ones I want to put on there...

Oh, and btw, my fog light looks like an afterthought...not cool! :eye:
Come to think of it, I wonder if the old-style end caps will even fit on with the fogs there...great, something else to go wrong...:(
