The guy who built it dialed it into the 10's, but its too stiff to cruise around like that.
When he took me out in it, it would jump 20mph as fast as a gasp. Seriously.

From what I remember it has a 402 SBC, weighs ~1800lbs, and the rear shoes are 33x22! He liked the fact that it looks like a cartoon hotrod.

I'll let some others have a chance to guess at the make before I spill the beans. :laugh3:

You were on the right track by looking at the license plate.

The Anglia was a good guess. I had to search for it and it does have a similar grille. I thought it was a Ford at first, too.

So here it is: it's a '37 Fiat, and the ALTFX stands for altered factory experiment.

I just noticed that there's not a single seam the whole length of the body.

I guess it all flips up, funnycar-style?

You have to lift the body off - up and over style.
Pretty much just a shell to make it look like an actual car.
