It's a 2000# capacity monster jack (model 67562) that I'll probably never have a need to use, but I'm wondering if they are a reputable company and if it's worth trying to rebuild.

I Google-searched the name and didn't really come up with much (except that they're quite expensive!) and can't decide if I should bother with a "good-as-new" type of rebuild, or if I should send it off as scrap. It works fine if you're using it for a one-day job, but it'll leak down if it sits for 2+ days-- I'm sure it's just seals in the hydraulic pump, but it needs a full cleaning, painting, and the cradle as well. I'd be "into" it for about $400.00 if I rebuild it right and don't think it's anything I'll ever need/use.

Talk me out of it and I'm ahead (as long as I get "scrap price" for this 250# chunk..)

Ill give you scrap price for it, and you will be ahead. :D

Blackhawk makes (made?) quality stuff. I dont think they make tools anymore, but could be wrong. The guys on Garagejournal.com could tell you everything you needed to know about it.

if it comes down to it, and I decide it's not worth repairing/restoring, you will get first crack at scrap price (+shipping and handling):wave1:

never thought to ask on Garagejournal-- I don't remember if I ever actually signed up there, but I know I spent some time lurking a couple years back. I'll have to check it out again-- thanx for the reminder!!:peace:
