I can say it is unfortunate and closed minded to assume all of a certain race/religion/etc. will have the same traits. Absolute nonsense. Stereotypes do not evolve "for a reason". They evolve through ignorance and prejudice being taken from a white, middle class, priviledged place in society. Those terms go back a long way and are unrelated to reality. They are established to keep the pecking order in place. And you will always hurt the person who transcends the stereotype. Do you understand statistics at all, or the bell curve? In a nutshell, ANY trait of ANY kind can be graphed on a curve. Both ends will be low, as they are at the extremities, the middle will always be high, because it represents the largest population. If you take the bell curves from ANY trait and ANY population and overlay them, you will find the VAST MAJORITY of cases are represented in the middle of the curve. Being black, white, or stupid will not make a difference, all humans behave in similar manners in similar situations, unrelated to race or ethnicity.

Everyday as an average white male you get stereotyped and insulted, and we just take it, because we are the majority. Watch an hour of Prime Time TV for an hour and see how many times the male is made out to have inferior intellegence..

Are you trying to say that Jews are not white people? How many Jews have you met? People who are poor and are not into being taken advantage of by persons in power are the ones who point out the smallest discrepancy, regardless of religion or ethnicity. And to say its less common in "white people" is about as ignorant a statement that you can make. How many white people have you scientifically studied with double blind research to be able to make a statement like that? Man that is stupid and ignorant.

Indians are notoriously upward bound. I think it just comes down to cultural values, and there are plenty in all parts of the world that will take you for everything they can get..

Take everthign from everyone else, export your culture and foreign policy, tell other countries how to run everything, and at the same time have the poorest education and health care systems in the First World, and worse poverty for millions of americans than was tolerated in Iraq.

In the end, the tightwads end up with more money and that is seemingly the more intellegent way of living life. So if Jews are notoriously schiesty, than that just makes them smarter than the people they are making their money off of.

The lift thing: I have had work done at Les Schwab, and they have great service and a great warranty. I had a punctured tire and two years after purchase, even after it had expired, they fixed my tire for free!

Actually the term "Jewed" becomes a popular euphemism during the Renaissance period when William Shakespeare created the character Shylock in the play “The Merchant of Venice”. Prior to this, Jews were considered to be “money lenders” which is a sin in the eyes of the Roman Catholic Church and another reason for the the great animosity between Judean and Catholic disciplines. After Shakespeare’s play, Shylock the Jew made the term “to be Jewed” as reference to stingy monies, popular today.

I wrote a whole bunch in reply, but I realized that it was not an essay and I should do something more productive, like my calculus homework. Plus I don't think I should hijack this thread any further. I did make a lot of generalizations. Those are personal observations, not facts. Most stereotyping comes from someone's personal observation passed along, not actual statistics. Anyhow, I certainly don't think generalizations can be taken for truth.
