just an fyi about 3 " lift

BPB

NAXJA Forum User
I just found out that les shuab will install a 3" rancho lift with full backs and coils, and controll arms for $500 with out shocks, with shocks it is $700, this seems pretty resonable, for a lazy ass like me that doesn't want to work in the washington rain. pluss it is warranteed, and the will retorque it for you at no charge. it is an alright base to go bigger (shackles, spacers, blocks, which are all much less labor intensive).

500-700 VS Free... Ill stick with free - but thanks for adding - next time someone asks how much to install, ill refer them to this thread

I think he means $500 for the lift and the install, not just the install.

I think the price includes all of the parts. I don't think you can get parts for free. -edit- Ralph beat me to it.

So that price isn't too bad...if Rancho is what you want.

yes the price includes parts, my buddy got *** at a local 4x4 shop and put $800 down on the same kit but w/ aal wich by now has sagged to nothing, just a firmer ride

There's no need for racial / religious slurs here.

yes, its a hurtful prejudicial comment that is offensive to all of us Heebs. (I use the word Heeb, because we are taking it back - solidarity brother!). Not all Jews are cheap, like not all black people smoke crack and live in ghettos dude, and not all white people walk like they have a pole up their butt. Why don't you ask the next African-American you run into if the "n" word still has any meaning in this day and age?
Shalom,
Brett.

Listen, A-hole, take your Dixie Klan attitude and shove it. Learn to play by the NAXJA rules or get the F out.

Jewed... will wonders never cease?

Shalom.

It was amazing how many racial and religious slurs I grew up learning from my parents (who are devout catholics). Once I learned of thier meanings I was ashamed of ever using them. Now that I'm in the military I watch people's careers dissapear for using a racial or religious slur just once.

Do you call them African-Americans in Canada? Seems strange.

why is that strange? Canada is part of north "America". What seems strange to me is that in the US they are not referred to as "African-United-Statesians", that would make more sense! :D
At any rate I only used that term so he would know what i was talking about, up here, we don't call them "African-Americans" we call them "people", or "friends" or "neighbors". ;)

Canada is in America after all, so it would make sense to call them that. I get upset at all the people on the news these days saying "America" when they mean the United States. Ask someone from Venezuela if they are American and they will say they are. America is the entire western hemisphere.

Anyhow, I don't think "Jewed" is a very evil one. I am not Jewish though, so I can't really feel the insult. Of course stereotypes are there for a reason. If something is statistically true most of the time, we begin to assume and then we have prejudice. I can say it is unfortunate and closed minded to assume all of a certain race/religion/etc. will have the same traits. Often you will be right, but you may hurt someone who trancends the stereotype by grouping them together. We commonly use the term ghetto rigged, which is sort of messed up, but then again people say oakie rigged and they are talking about white people. You make a blonde joke and you are talking about white people. How 'bout a Pole joke? Everyday as an average white male you get stereotyped and insulted, and we just take it, because we are the majority. Watch an hour of Prime Time TV for an hour and see how many times the male is made out to have inferior intellegence. What I am getting at is that people are too sensitive. "Jewed" evolved out of a common occurence, someday we may say "Habibed," since Indian hotel owners seem to be the new scammers. I work in retail, so I know all about who are the tightwads. Yes, Jewish people tend to be rather hawk-eyed when you are selling them something, as are Asians and Indians. They will point out the smallest discrepancy to save $.08 or something. There are white people are like this too, its just less common. People who have things made, like family money or government money, don't tend to watch money too closely. These are the ones who are going to get ripped by people on the up and up. Indians are notoriously upward bound. I think it just comes down to cultural values, and there are plenty in all parts of the world that will take you for everything they can get. In the end, the tightwads end up with more money and that is seemingly the more intellegent way of living life. So if Jews are notoriously schiesty, than that just makes them smarter than the people they are making their money off of.

Thanks for the education, PapaPump, but the point is regardless of how socially acceptable certain stereotypes and their related slurs may be, NAXJA policy states that such action is unacceptable on our forums. To deny the existence of stereotypes, racism and bigotry is ignorant... to allow it and propagate it is wrong.
