Hi, Im new to the forum and if I can ever get my jeep up and running I plan to eventually join as a real member, but first the jeep. I have a 90 Limited which a couple of days ago had the POS ABS in it. I searched up and down and thought that I had everything that I needed to do the swap to the 96 non-abs system. Well, I forgot to get the new pedal and brake switch. I have gone to 2 junkyards that I knew of and cant seem to find a 96 to get the pedal and assembly from. So, my question is does anybody know where there is a junkyard that has any newer XJ's around the Denver area?? The newest one that I found was a 92 and the booster rod was different than the one from the 96, so I didnt think that it would work. Also, has anybody done the mirror swap, I read that it was a direct swap, but then when I got the new ones, the plug is completly different so I was just gonna cut the wire off of a 97+ ones and rewire it to mine, but again I cant find any newer ones.

Thanks for all your help, this forum has been a great help.

Pull-N-Save www.pullnsave.com (on 33rd west of Peoria)always seems to have quite a few Cherokees, but finding them newer than say '92 is pretty rare, ya just gotta keep checking there maybe once a week. They rotate their "stock" on Tuesdays IIRC, so that's usually the best day to get to the fresh ones.

Colorado Auto Parts and Recycling is a great source for newer Cherokee parts, but they can be a little pricey - not bad, but kinda high. I believe you'd be able to find what you're looking for here and you can pull it yourself. They're on Radcliffe just west of Santa Fe behind Zvigel's Classic auto parts. Radcliffe is only accessible from a frontage road, so you'll have to exit either Oxford or Union to get to it - I recommend Oxford. Addy: 2151 W. Radcliffe, Englewood.

Those are actually the 2 that I have been to, but I will keep checking back with them. Any other good ones??

How about in the Colo Springs or Castle Rock area? Any good junkyards around there fro XJ parts? I have a lot of nagging trim and other low-priority parts that I don't feel like paying "new" prices for - especially since the trails will usually do their thing to them again!

In Colorado Springs the best one is A-1 on hwy85/87 & E. Las Vegas (down south). They usually have some XJs (though rarely any late-models).Its a pull it yourself type of yard and a $1 admission fee.XJs are usually towards the back of the yard.

Try Western Auto Recycling - 6100 N Federal Blvd.
I have seen 97+ models there at least once a month.
However, they mostly have pre-97 models.
It's a pick & pull place

I have been told that tow truck drivers will steer wherever they get the most money.
Jeeps Unlimited off I-25 in Erie is where a lot of them go.
They will not let you pick the parts yourself.
And they charge you nearly-new prices too. :thumbdn:
However, they probably will have what you want.

Don't bother with Pull-N-Save in Aurora. They have XJs, but they are usually '90 and older - and are usually pretty well stripped.
