[XJ Stryker]

Well Eric (96 XJ Sport) and I went out to pull-a-part today. Had some luck finding parts. He got a few spare axle shafts and I found a gas tank skid. But other than that most of the XJ's had been picked pretty clean.

Found another Junk yard and stopped off to have a look. Well found me another...

XJ Dana 44

Best part about it was I only paid

40 BUCKS

I seen it and then went to ask what they would charge if I pulled it. X-mas budget and all. I figured it would be over my 100 dollar limit. I was tickled shitless to say the least. He said how about 40 bucks and I said how about sold lol.

Screaming deal on the 44 I thought I did good when I got my XJ and MJ 44s @ my local u pull it for a 110 each.

He got a gas tank skid, too. I got a rear bumper to replace the one I mangled at the badlands, $20 with good end caps. Wiring harness for overhead console that I hope to eventually install, $1. D30 axle shafts for both sides w/hubs, $26 each. 8.25 axle shaft, $18.

Really pleased with my deals, but they pale in comparison to that $40 D44 :shocked: Right place at the right time, no doubt :thumbup:

Earlier this year I scored like the Colts in the 4th quarter at the yard. I got a spare tire carrier from a TJ for 20 bucks, Figured they'd want at least 35 for it. I grabbed a pair of Z34 hood vents for another 20...bout crapped my pants on that one. Good snag, Rob!

last time I was in DSM at the pick n pull w/ Collin I scored a set of rear ZJ discs for $60 complete w/ everything... I am hoping to go back and get af ew more sets for that price. Nice score Rob...but not as cool as pink furry handcuffs
