JEEP IS WINNNAR!

So... today was an interesting day. I've been driving the Jeep around to break in the new gears, but haven't gotten a new inspection sticker yet. On the way to Autozone... I got pulled over and just (thankfully) got a written warning for expired inspection, and had an interesting conversation with the cop about the ammo can in the trunk where I have some fluids and crap.

I get to autozone, get a new downstream O2 sensor, and put it in. Amazingly it turned off my check engine light, so I brought it around the corner to the shop to go get an inspection sticker. Turns out I took it to the wrong bay (around the corner from their other bays), so one of the shop guys took it around the block. He brought it into the inspection bay, and left it in gear... no biggie. The next guy who jumped in to fire it up to run the ODB scanner for the inspection sticker either sucks at driving stick, or was a tard, or something, and left it in gear. He promptly let out the clutch with his right foot (stupid), sending the Jeep driving away and right into the BMW M5 up on the lift in front of it! My Jeep basically hit the header panel into the rear shock mounts of the BMW, knocking the BMW off of the lift sorta, and it seems like it totalled the BMW. Smashed glass, crumpled body panels, dropped the front right corner into the ground so suspension, and fender wells ended up holding up the rest of the weight.

My Jeep got two small punch holes in the header panel which they will obviously replace for free, and a slight wrinkle in the driver fender which they'll replace also. The BMW is totalled.

The real kicker is... the BMW hit was the owner of the shops! The shop monkeys were replacing his brakes for him. Supposedly he'd never seen anything like it in his 30 years of owning the shop!

The owner wasn't even mad, at least through when I left. He was more just like in.... disbelief that his employees did that. He drove it back around the corner to prove that it wasn't the clutch like the shop monkey said it was, friggin clutch is brand new, e brake is brand new shit, etc etc etc

go jeep! kill kill kill! :D

glad your jeep came out so unscathed, that could have gone worse. when i was in tech school one of the new kids racked a 70 something dodge magnum, then parked his personal car under it to take a picture. him and his buddies started fooling around, hanging off the bumper of the magnum, and next thing you know the whole thing fell on his little honda, crushing it completely. we used a forklift to pick the dodge up off the honda, and drove it back out to the parking lot, it came through without a scratch. :D

The moral of the story? Never park a fancy car where a jeep can reach it... :firedevil

Haha awesome, you need to give that BMW killer some love.

At work that's what we consider one of those "just head to the truck, don't bother telling anyone bye" moments.

need to paint a BMW kill mark on the drivers side door. just think four more and you will be a ACE!!!
The Porsche Cayenne is also a legitimate target.

good story.

This jeep just gives me story after story after story, its insane! Last summer some guy punched in my rear quarter panel window driving by, its been keyed like 5 times, wrecked transmission, and so muh more my drunk ass can't remember it allllll. Hey I get a good story out of this mess, and a fresh header panel and potentially new fenders. Why not?

I'm going to stop by tomorrow and see how the guys beemer fared from the collap[se
