this place works mostly on CJs, YJs and TJs so lets get some XJs to show.. i dont know if its really a show with judging.. likely not.. i'd expect an RTI ramp for the posers though..

I'll be there but not in my XJ. (She failed inspection),

Wish I could be there...but I have to go out to New York State tomorrow...

My MJ is in the shop getting it's new engine installed.

I wish I had seen this earlier, I would have done mu hub and u-joint tonight but I'll be there as long as I can get those done early enough.

im ptretty sure the car wash and other stuff will be for collecting charity donations for some organization but i dont know who its for.. i doudt there will be any issues with parking and just hanging out

Good time today! What an incredible stock pile this guy has there indoors and out. Flaties everywhere and a lot of custom flatie stuff too. Go figure, he drives an XJ but works on SWB's? Sweet young ladies there from Lazer 99.3 washing the jeeps. Looked like some guys went out to a mud pit before they showed. Was fun watching them try to scrub the coal dust of mine. Think it's a permenent tatoo now.

RTI ramp to use. Mike got on and off before I could get over for a pic. Here's mine, nothing great.

Wonder if I could ever get it to do this?

Great time, lot of SWB's showed up. Got to meet robz95xj from NH. No XJ with him though. . .said it didn't pass NH inspection, something about the tires not out far enough and not high enough in the air. :D Oh yeah, was a little nicer since I won the $150 gift certificate. :laugh3:

Looks like a great time. Wish I could have made it down...

I had a good day, though. Spent it scouring a local pick'n pull for some parts and scored pretty well. I got the rest of the rear wiper assembly I needed (swapped my seized 95 one with a nice one out of a 99), got two front door seals off a 97, and got a 136 amp alternator to swap in this week. And all of that for $85 dollars. The amp was most of that, it was $65, and it's got a 90 warranty.

So what's up with your rig now Rob?

I was scronging thruogh a junkyard yesterday, pocketed 2 factory coil isolaters and got frt. coils and a gas tank w/sending unit.

My Jeep failed state inspection for the following reasons
No frt. sway bar
Broken exhaust manifold
missing e-brake parts
rust hole
no bumper end cap

Sorry, but I just laughed at you...

When we first picked up my XJ, it passed inspection with a broken pipe on the manifold and no passengers side floor to speak of. The guy we go to is my mechanic, so as long as he knows we're going to be taking care of the problems he lets them go (it also helps that he knows he's getting the business, and my "extended" family has been bringing him 6 different vehicles to work on lately)

That really does suck though...And how can they bust you for no plastic cap on the bumper? It's just cosmetic!

I'm bringin it back home monday. Im putting the swaybar back on, fixing the rust hole and putting the end cap back on with some convincing. Also Grizzley taught me a trick to try to patch the header. I also may have a conection at a diffrent inspection station. The place I used to go to dosnt do inspections anymore so thats why i'm in the position im in now.

When you put the sway bar back on, just turn the links into homemade disconnects...just takes a 7/16ths by 2 1/2" hitch pin with a 5/32nds cotter pin and some washers. Good luck with the inspection!

The homemade discos will come when I have thew extra time. But heres the plan, i'm gonna do the rust hole, sway bar and get a new bumper from the junkyard and have them replace the header and fix the e brake.

i'm glad you guys could make it down.. the radio station guys were pretty cool and the "lazer girls" washed some real nasty rigs.. i think they should have checked their tetanus vaccination before touching mike's rig though.. :skull1: congrats to Grizz on his big raffle win... (now arennt you glad i made you stay a little longer??) the whole thing wrapped up with a big water fight that was still going when i left.. gotta love those wet T-shirts. :)

thanks for posting the video of my mall wheeling Rob!!

I really gotta get online more often so I don't keep missing out on this stuff. Looks like a real good time, nice pics. Unfortunately the closest thing to a "Lazer Girl" washing my jeep yesterday was me and I'm pretty sure I'm not as good looking as them.
