Alright gentlemen, the last time my heep had trouble you fixed her up real good so i'm gonna be a repeat customer. Periodically (twice tonight on the way home from work and occuring more often) I'll step on the gas and the engine will die. She'll restart but giving it gas kills her. If I inch up the throttle I can get maybe 1500 rpm's out of it before it shuts off. Needless to say pulling out using 4-lo and a max cruising speed of 50 when it acts like this is a little frustrating. please help. Oh yeah...it's not the fuel filter cause that was just changed.

Crappy gas? Try putting some water remover in the tank,I do not use any gasoline under 97 octene(sp?)

it may be your converter pull the o2 sensor and drive around a bit if the problem go's away replace you cat if its not that look into fuel press regulator . sound like the cat though iv seen this a few times try pulling the o2 and get back to us
 
I saw a post a while back about the pick up in the tank going bad. Anyone think this could be it? I'm waiting to see if it happens again when it gets to 1/4 tank again.
