j10 steering gear questions

Hey all

Hope this is ok to start a new steering thread but my other one got jacked hah

quick question. I got a 85 j10 steering box from Oreilys. and I am wondering if my stock pitman arm and ps lines will fit on the box. any thoughts or threads

cause i researched and couldn't find any.

I ran a 86 j10 box. Lines and pitman arm bolted up

I am under the impression that a J10 box is the same as a YJ box, which is bolt up for cherokees

sweet thanks guys. its 4 bolt i think so all i have to do is drill that hole but im going to order a box brace first.

any recommendations?

get a 4 bolt inner brace. and you will have to drill through the top of the frame, so I recommend welding plate on top of that afterward for piece of mind. I did it somewhere in my build thread.

not as easy as it sounds. I abandoned the idea of a 3rd bolt and plated the crap out of my frame instead. I run the 4 bolt YJ box
