Isuzu info wanted

I've been asked by a friend to help out with some routine maintenance on his 92 V6 Trooper: he's only just got the thing, and is looking for good websites etc. Does anyone know of any good sites to get the info from, or where I could find a FSM for said beast?

Not being a smartass in recommending this, just pointing out how much he's got in the way of resources for his vehicle. As for the worth of any of the sites out there, I suspect that's something he'll need to evaluate for himself.

Tell him to go buy a full service manual. The V6 I'm pretty sure is a GM engine, I remember they were putting 2.8L's in them for a while but the newer 90+ have the 3.4L. I had an 87 that I really liked even with the 4 banger, too bad they rust out so darn quick. Have him check the body mounts and frame, my frame was about to collapse in the back over the rear axle and after researching it found out thats common unless you really keep after it..

Thanks Rich. I've managed to track down a 99+ FSM online, but can't find an earlier one than that. It's a 3.4 (I think), and in really good nick for its age, but I'll pass on the warning. I agree - the early ones are notorious for rot on the chassis, but I don't know about the less boxy looking ones, but there's plenty in my favourite junkyard, if that's any indication!
