Is there good wheeling around Houston Tx?

Spring has lots of mud and sand, but it's very close to houston (less than an hour from downtown with no traffic of course). Not much in the way of rocks, but it could have changed by now since the last time I was there it wasn't even a park. How far are you willing to travel?

Spring had WEROCK come in and pour some nice rocky technical spots. Basically concreted alot of ditches and a they were plenty challeging for buggies.

Roland is not the owner... He is the property manager. But yes he IS a great guy.
I worked the WERock event out there and they have done ALOT with that place. It has become a great day time trip and a nice place to test your "upgrades" out at.

Llanno is 4 hours away and I live on the west side of Houston. If you are talking about Long Ranch, its not that great. I actually hunt there and there really isn't anything very technical. We can get pretty much everywhere in our stock Tahoe and if not the Tahoe we have never been not able to do something in our mini-trucks.

I am going to have to disagree. While you probably could drive your Tahoe everywhere, that's because nearly every obstacle or difficult section has a bypass. There are some very technical technical and difficult climbs and ledges there. I have been there about 4-5 times and it hasnt been boring or old, even when I am broke and fixing parts. :D

I though llano had granite domes similar to Katemcy Rocks (which is basically it's next door neighbor), but they only open to friends and the Jeep Jamborees.

I guess it's because Long's Ranch doesn't have hard trails. It's more obstacle based.
One of the great things about the place is that you would be able to drive your Tahoe up to the obstacles to watch.
I can show you a lot of obstacles out there that I would like to see you drive the Tahoe over. :)
