Is theis the place to bitch/vent????

I can't imagine someone repairing a tire that is that inexpensive...the repair process if done correctly is as reliable as the rest of the carcass...however it is expensive if done CORRECTLY. The tires from heavy industrial equipment are routinely repaired due to the tremendous cost of replacement.

Sounds like the guys at the tire shop need modern equipment and training. Obviously they don't care about their reputation or managment has it's head up its butt...I would think that to a small shop, a long term happy customer that will do buisness forever and more importantly spread the good word would be far more important than a one time small cash cost. Maybe if he did that, he would lose fewer customers to the big chain outlets...and if he provides top notch service on top of it all, he won't one day have to end up being a "customer service rep" at "Wally World Service Center" since he had to go out of business.

Im my job, we sell cool, clean air....not A/C systems...If one of my customers has a failure on an in-warranty system and we can't get it going within one day we pay their motel costs until we get them going again..small cost, and with good personell and equipment a very rare occurance indeed. One such customer has given us over 100 new customer leads from his recommendation alone...

Hopefully, this will come out good for both you and the tire shop.

to end this story, I have 4 new tires in my garage awaiting me to feel better to mount them, the dealer came through and paid for two new ones and I decided to buy two more to make them a match set, plus I need a spare and this way I have two.

all is good.
