I just did the kit and the ujoint in the rebuilt front driveshaft is almost a half inch smaller than what was in the stock rear driveshaft. Have I missed something?

nevermind, I don't have a 1310 pinion yoke, I have a 1350 and needed a spicer 5-134x ujoint that fits both yokes.

They make 1310 to 1350 ujoints. NAPA handles them.

yeah, it's 5-134x

measure your old u joint first, if it is 3 5/8" from outside of cap to outside cap then yes.

So I guess I will have to get this 5-134x to hook up to my 8.25 in the rear?

Not if your XJ is running factory axles/yokes,all the u-joints(front and rear) are 1310's!

mine is a dana 35 stocker and it's a 1330. Talking to guys in the business they have seen a handfull with the bigger pinion yoke. Historically jeep did use whatever was available at the moment...
