I'm a daddy

Well to who ever asked, I'm 24 yrs old and I'll be turning 25 on Sat (12July). My g/f of almost 2yrs now is 20 and will be 21 Sept.

Ok, so here are some pics.
This is after his first bath. Amazingly he was born with callics that form a natural mohawk. :D Ok, so I had the nurse comb his hair that way.

He really does like to keep his hand on the side of his face, he did the same thing in almost every ultrasound picture before he was born.

As much as I love him, we appear to be arguing a lot. Apparently we are both stubborn, luckily I can still stare him down. :D

Here he is at home today, I put him in the swing and he seemed to like it quite a bit.

Well thats all, time to try and get as much sleep as possible. I pretty much haven't slept since Monday night. Funny story, I was so tired at work that I drove the freshly rebuilt HMMWV we did into a praked HMMWV that was awaiting rebuild. Don't ask, because I honestly don't even know how I did it. I was sort of sleeping with my eyes open the entire day at work.

Congrats Dutch! Glad to hear Mom and Son are healthy and doing well!

BTW, don't hesitate to ask if you guys need anything over the next few weeks - sounds like you've got plenty of family help, but seriously, holler if we can do anything.

Thanks man, I think we are pretty good. Although if your back is up to it you could help me move beginning of Aug. Going from the apt in Thornton to a house up in Milliken. Best thing about the house is its 2 car garage, and its a house so thats actually nice in itself.

You gots a gorgeous kid there Dutch.

Definitely a possibility - just post up when the time comes, if I'm available - the truck will be too. Hell, if the timing (day of the week) works out when you want to do it, and if there's no deliveries scheduled, I may have access to one of my dad's furniture delivery vans - probably could move you in one load.

Thats funny, my boy kept his natural born Mohawk until mommy decided it was too long and silly.

It is starting....... :)
Soon when you go to work you still start to drool on yourself and make simple mistakes that you never would have before, but it is a good exhausted because all you will think about is getting home to see your boy!! When he gets about two-three months he will be all excited to hear your voice and makes your heart just melt.....

Again Congrats!

........next couple months comes the no sleep, drooling on yourself, and spit up stains on your clothes that you don't catch :)
We already have a few members around here that do that on a regular basis...

Well it happened, on Tuesday 8July2008 Colin Joseph Freeman-Guthrie was born 8lbs 4oz and 21" long. I don't have any pics right now because they are still on my camera which I left with his mom at the hospital. She is staying there tonight and will be home tomorrow afternoon, unfortunately I have to be at work tomorrow. I'll be posting a few pics once she gets home and we get everything settled down a bit.

To be honest I've never been as happy as I was when he was born. I've never been one to cry and I have never cried tears of joy, but when he came out I was a little baby. I couldn't help myself, the tears started flowing and all I could do was hold him and Ashley and give them both kisses. There is nothing embarrassing about it as far as I'm concerned, and I'm sure some of you guys know how I feel. There is nothing, absolutely nothing cooler than having your baby come into the world. I've never been so happy or proud.

Congrats!!!! I know exactly how you feel about when they come out. I cried like a baby when we had our first (a girl) in January. It was by far the best day of my life. Talk about love at first sight...
