i should of started this thread here

15 miles from what? Where are you working? There is plenty of housing. There are only a couple of placs you wouldn't want to live. Our "hood" is nothing compared to other urban cities. Are you going to become a U.S. citizen or are you going to keep your Rupublic of Texas status? Let us know, we can help with naturalization. I'm out of the country right now visiting my folks near Wichita Falls. I'm sure we can get you the help you need.

First thing. I know you are comming to the Springs. The Springs in not a sprawling urban mega metropolis like Dallas/ Ft. Worth connecting 20 different cities. I meant where in the Springs will you be working? There is a couple of other cities here, Manitou, Widefield... But it is all the Springs. 600,000 all totaled. To you it is a farm town. I moved here 15 years ago. Parents are from Texas, I grew up in Vegas. I will never leave the Springs. No other place I would rather be. What is your profession? My XJ is my DD so I can't help you with the trailer ??? Congrats on your decision to become a U.S. citizen.:D

you are one crazy cat..i can tell we are gonna get along just fine...as far as the area 20 miles should be the whole city limit radius,so i will fit in very well...i am in the electric field and some opportunity's have been brought to my attention so i am perusing them..as far as area within the big city of the Springs, will we haven't discussed that yet...and the trailer i was referring to was my belongings on the trailer behind my dually or a u-haul truck...i have more than enough help here to load up..just i will be short handed on that end...i may have a buddy come up there with me with the 1st load, all the large heavy stuff..than bring him back then haul my xj back solo..we will see...

I'm a 6th generation Texan. Born and raised in West Texas, worked for TI in Richardson, still own some property in Kerrville.

Watch out for that crowd in Colorado Springs. They are a bit on the unique side:laugh3:

The first rule about moving to Colorado is that you have to bring your own job with you. The second rule is that non-Colorado folk are required to drive a lot on the first snow storm we get. We call it thinning the herd. The third thing is that they have to buy the beer on the first run.

Ya, anywhere in the city will be fine really. 30 minutes will get you from one end to the other. You should be able to get here and find out where you want to live. A couple of my friends are electricians, I produce it myself. If you meant electronics, there is a lot of that work here too. My schedule rotates and I am always busy, but I won't rule anything out. Let me know when your plans get firmer and I might be able to lend you a hand. That is if you make it through the first snow storm. he he he
