Besides the obvious mental health I require...I need help with my jeep.
I have been away from NAXJA for a few years and need to go wheeleing again soon. Here is my problem. I have lifted the new jeep and all seems ok except ...I am having some issues with the steering:passgas: . I was wondering if anyone wants to come by and help me trouble shoot one Sat or Sunday. I will have plenty of beer and BBQ for any and all.

Thanks
JT

I can drive the jeep, It drives pretty good. I can drive it @ 40-50 mph.
Then it just starts to shake uncontrolably. But no all the time..it just happens randomly. It pulls hard to the right when it shakes.

Sounds like deathwobble.

What lift? How high? Adjustible trackbar or any steering upgrades? Condition of bushings/TREs?

yeah it does, however it does nto do it all the time and don't you get death wobble @ 25-30 mph..mine doesnt hit until 45-50mph.
I have the RE 4.5 + 2 " shacles and bushings. I took everything off the old jeep and put on to this one. Slip yoke, tie rod etc.

i had an issue like that id get not a really bad wobble but a shaking at about 45mph

i found the problem to be that the drivers side knuckle had a loose bolt
the very bottom one it had spun the cotter pin and got loose
tightened it and no more issue

Vibrations that start around 45-50 I usually find are tire balance related. When was the last time your tires were balanced?
