well i woke up this morning an tried to leave in my 1990 mj and the cluch worked for a min then I think the slave cylinder went out on me.
I have the AX15 tranny and have no idea how to replace it, cuz I'm use to having it just bolt on the outside of the bell houseing.
Any info will help.

Thanks much, Justin

Pull tranny, Xfer case, X member as 1 unit. Use a heavy duty trans jack. Replace slave, reinstall.

You are gonna need a "reverse" torx socket, a LONG extension, and some basic tools. last time I did mine it was a 4 hour job....but I have done it a bunch.

BTW - Use a spell checker...it makes it much easier to read.

OR, if you have the extra bucks pickup a 95+ bellhousing and all the parts and convert it to external, I would get the parts from a junkyard myself but with a new slave/master... make sure you grab that little bushing in the crank, they may be different between internal and external...plus you might want to do the clutch at the same time, after all it will all be apart...

Man, that is a lot of work for a damb slave cylinder, but i wanna thank you for yall's input.
Looks like this damb truck is gonna be sitting for a while. Besides I still have my XJ to drive so it's not a real big deal. I just like driveing my mj better.

Pretty sure this is considered a 'family friendly' site which translates to 'watch your mouth'. The spellchecker thing is a good idea as well.

sorry didn't realize there was so many critic's and vergin ear's. lmao

Nope.. Not there is so many critics or virgin ears. But people like coming here, reading threads and helping people because of the non/low vulgarity factor. That's it.

It's not so much about being critical as it is trying to figure out just WTF you are trying to say with the scramble of letters in between your vulgarity. Make it easier on us to try to help you by learning to control your mouth and use your brain...you'll get a lot farther.
