, but I am going to be in the market for another XJ. :shocked: I finally landed a job that will supply a company truck so I no longer need to worry about having something to drive 300 miles a week in. The wife wants my Honda Pilot and her Acura is going to be sold. So, I am going to be on the lookout for a XJ that is $2500 or less. I prefer something with a 2" lift and some 30-31', although I wouldn't mind a clean stock one either. I will be ready to purchase in about 2-3 weeks if the right one comes my way. We will also consider taking an XJ($2500 or less) in as partial trade for her Acura. It is a 2003 TL, 82k miles, dark Blue, loaded including heated seats, newer michelins, etc... for $8000.

Thanks Brian. I don't really plan on wheeling much, I just like the fact that I can get a decent XJ and know how to fix it for that price range. Plus I want something to haul my dirt bike with.

There's a red xj for sale down here on a dealer lot for $750. Not sure of any details but doesn't look to bad of condition. Then with the money saved could put a BB on it and some tires.

I don't know that I want a project. $750 at a dealer is just really cheap. I need it to be comfortable enough to occasionally drive 1-2hrs away on the highway.

i would end up doing most of the work anyway. plus its beneficial when he goes to sell it because he wont have as much tied up in it
