So, I might be getting a 97 Saturn SL-1 in the next few months for free. If that happens, I'll be selling my Jeep and DD'ing the Saturn. I'll take some of the $ from selling the Jeep and fix up the MJ some more to make it more reliable. Of course, the balance will go towards debt.

I had a '97 Saturn wagon for a few months two years ago. I got it off CL with 290K+ miles on it for $600. I took it on a caving/camping trip and the rear window got busted out. On the way home it lost all but two gears in the tranny. I sold it on CL for $500.

FWIW you get 2 AW4s and most of a 22RE in one without much effort......

Yeah, I've been reading up on them. They seem to be pretty reliable and smoking on the gas mileage. After we get our lives in order, I'll buy an XJ again.

Not sure yet - I gotta make sure that I actually have a replacement for it before I sell it. I'm going to be doing the front unit bearings and ujoints on it tomorrow.

I've been thinking of trading down. Once I pay off the little balance left on the loan, I was thinking of putting it up for trade for a stock Jeep.

Well, I picked up the car. It's a 1997 Saturn SL-1. I'm going to clean up the Jeep and put it up for sale in the near future. So I'll keep the Saturn and my MJ in the short-term until we pay off some debt and I can afford to buy a stocker.
