I found a 1 Ton single rear wheel Chev pickup for 1000$. It runs but it runs rough.
The specs are
It is an 88'
Has a 454 and a 4speed manual trans
It is two wheel drive and has a utility bed that i probably will sell.
I would like some opinions on it is it worth buying to tow the xj with. The XJ is getting pretty scarry on the roads now. Also if any one could help me figure out why it wont run right this is what i know.
When you unplug the vacuum line that goes to the map sensor it runs better than with it plugged in. When it is plugged in, it won't idle unless your foot is clear down the throttle body. Which leads me to belive that there is a mixture problem. It does have an exahust leak but i'm not sure where and it is pretty big. Which means that it might be messing the the 02 sensor. any one have any ideas. Again with the Map sensor diconeccted it will idle ok but hesitates when you give it some gas.
Thanks In Advance and sorry for the length
