Um, dude.... they don't put a duramax in a mid-size truck. She said the got a Colorado... which was the replacement for the S-10. It has a 3.5l inline 5 cylinder.

its the inline 5. i love it. will try to get pics when i'm not too busy shaking to hold the camera still LOL. the worst part about it today is that the wind is blowing a cold norther down our necks. BRRRR.

Sucks that its so cold down there. I was down in Brownwood / Austin for Thanksgiving and it was hotter than heck (80F). This PNW weather has really worn away my temperature tolerance. I guess that's what trips home to Connecticut and deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan are for.....

I was gonna put the 4 cyl too, but since hers was the Z71 I figured they got the "BIG" motor :)
What's kinda sad is ypou can get a 2WD Z-71 with a 4-cyl in a crew cab. Talk about a dog!

The 5-cyl is a good motor though...lots of power for it's size. When are you going to do the solid axle conversion, Kris? ;)

when i see pigs fly and they go MOOO!! :D

its perfect for what i want. i now have my 4x4 truck thats actually affordable. plus its a blast to drive:)

You'll love the 5 cyl. My wife has an H3 (based on the Colorado, with the same motor). It's not the fastest thing in the world, but really torquey, and strong throughout the powerband. It really seems to be a good compromise of power and fuel efficiency.

i know threads are worthless w/out pics, so here ya go:
