I guess they should be grateful he was not shot and killed.

I think HPD got their foot stuck in it now.

I also doubt we will ever hear either side of the real story.

Few questions:

1. The dumb-a** didn't stop. Even an ambassador's vehicle is required to stop, and they must identify themselves to police. They are not exempt from that, it is the LAW.

2. Yep, they probably shouldn't have entered the consulate's garage. If that garage is properly a part of the consulate. If it is simply leased garage space and not part of the consulate, then the officers' actions were proper.

3. Dumb-a** never heard the saying "Don't mess with TEXAS!"?

HPD = Loss of situational awareness.

The problem with cities are that most of the employees can't afford to live in the City they serve. It is harder for those employees to know where or what each building is. I suspect that a consulate is pretty well marked and from the photo looks to be unique architecture.

I don't care who they are, if they work and or live in the U.S. they need to know the rules. How were the officers supposed to know they were persuing a diplomat if the plates were missing?

Besides, China's worried about a little rough up when there are pregnant U.S. embassy workers being shot and killed in Mexico??

I'm sure the perps will be caught soon, after all BO "expressed outrage over the killings..."
