how to register a scrapped vehicle in NY???

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone on hee knew how to go about registering a scrapped vehicle in New York state.

I salvaged a honda scooter from disposal, and got it running, and now I want to get it road-worthy/legal (would REALLY save on gas for the drive to work--over the summer anyway)

anybody have any ideas?

i already checked the DMV website for NY but it didnt mention anything about vehucles found in the trash persay.

I dont know if for a moped its the same, but for a car you must apply for a salvage title if the vehicle was indeed scrapped. Just being in a salvage yard does not mean that the original title is bad, my 92, "Xnowyte", was bought from a salvage yard and it had a clean title. More info:
