Hallo. My clearcoat on my '92 Midnightblue XJ rig is chipping.
Because it is a dark car it's all white spots on roof and hood.
I mixed darkblue alcyd paint with black alcyd, and the colormatch is very good.
My plan is to sand most of the chipping clearcoat and rol the spots with the gloosy mixpaint.
I did already some parts and it is except my me.(and my wife:confused1)
Question is or you have done this before. Do I have to remove all the clearcoat?
Can I leave the clearcoat which is still in good condition? Is the chipping proces stopped when paint is cover it?
I hope some do have answers.
