How fast?

Hey guys, heres a list of the plans for the jeep:
4.5-5.5 long arm lift on 33 12.5s
8.8 rear with super 88 kit
Narrowed hp 44 with upgraded shafts
Ls swap. I would like a ls2 but most like will end up with a cammed and tuned 5.3(lm7) or 6.0(lq4) prolly with a 4l60e
It will be my daily driver, mud and sand toy, maybe some light wheeling
I was just curious to how fast you think I'd run in the quarter and some 0-60 times? I realize this isn't a race car but just wanted to know

Thanks :)

Probably finish a 1/4 mile in about 6 seconds with a top speed of 240 mph on the run. Easily could hit 325 mph on a salt flat

Thanks man. Thought that would be the answer I would get. But really anyone have a good estimate? I don't need the smart remarks just curious

depends, if you build it to wheel it you'll never get past 15's no matter how much you throw at the motor. basically everything that makes a good offroad suspension work well in the dirt is working against you as far as weight transfer and traction. I'd bet with a built LS motor you'd just blow the tires loose most of the way through the 60 ft mark.

In the real world these calculators are normally within .25 - .5 seconds unless you've got weird setup that is outside of the curve fit.

Ok thanks guys. How much do you think a xj with a ls motor, dana 44 front, 8.8 rear and 33s would weigh? Anyone else have any estimates?

5klbs....

Honesty not much more than it would normally? How much more is an ls motor 200lbs? My jeep was 400 with head when I took it to the dump. 8.8 weight will be a negligible difference, and the 44 will be a little heavier thank the 30 but were not talking half a ton.

My Jeep tips the truck scales at ~4200 lbs.

That's stock drivetrain but fully built 44/30, TNT LA, 33s, stiffeners, ARB front bar and winch, ORGS nerfs, Half tank of gas and nothing else (no passengers or driver)

A LS engine must save a few pounds? 50? 100?

Yeah I was thinking closer to 4000 as you were saying. Thanks

According to the link posted about at 4000lbs and 350 wheel horsepower it says 13.12 1/4 time. Thats pretty quick :)

Have you also considered that the XJ has the aerodynamic of a barn door?

LMAO. Kinda surprised this thread is still open.

These are just the wrong questions to be asking about our type of Cherokee. When I get the craving for power, I look towards cheap turbo Dodge car or bikes.

It'll be over 4000lb but 300rwhp is more realistic with a 6.0L LS engine backed up by an auto tranny turning big, heavy tires. A mid 13-sec 1/4 mile is possible but with a 5" lift and big tires, the aerodynamics will be even worse than those of a barn door. ;) Get the gearing right and you'll leave a few ricers jaw-dropped.

Team willys put an LS2 in an XJ, the build thread is in advanced fab. THere are also videos of it on youtube. Search LS2XJ.

You don't need a v8 to mess with ricers. If ur including evos and such, yea but I don't want to go that fast in a lifted jeep. My 87 with stock gears shits on them off the line. Now I got 4.10s and some, should be fun.

Thanks everyone. I'm not building it to race I was just curious. Anyone run 5.3 or 6.0s? Wondering what intake and cam would be best for me?
