I have shipped my fair share of items via UPS, USPS, etc. But how do you guys ship big, bulky items? Grill guards, bumpers, wheels...the list goes on. But what carrier or company do you all use? Will any of them ship metal parts as is w/o packaging? Thanks in advance for any imput. Shawn

Most every trucking company will take items without cartons, just you will get charged more. Remember in the freight business you get to pick one.

Good, fast, or cheap.

fed ex up to 150 #'s . we get bumbers and tires all the time.
Over 150#'s ship ground. Ground will ship any weight and is cheaper.

Don't know bout the others but UPS stopped shipping bare metal items a while back. The simple answer was to wrap the item in plastic and send it. Didn't make sense to me and I worked there then. We would get loads of bike frames and rims wrapped in a few layers of clear palastic and ship them all night long. One would come bare and back it went.
