I'm wanting to do some drawing on some current pics and can't figure out how to go about it. I've got Adobe Photodeluxe Home Edition and MS Paint to work with. It says something about needing it to be a bitmap, but I know nothing of bitmaps or how to convert a jpeg to a bmp. Any help?

I think ya just right click on it and save the pic (or whatever) as a .bmp file

IIRC it 'should' open up with the MSPaint program

On my XP with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, When I right click it doesn't have a "save as" but if I pick "edit" it opens up in Paint.

OTOH I am an idiot when it comes to computers...so this all may not work :dunno:

Open MS Paint by double-clicking the desktop icon or by typing "mspaint" in the Start->Run... menu's Open box.

Once paint is running, select the File->Open... menu item.

Drop down the list in the Files of Type box and select JPEG Interchange File Format (*.jpg, *.jpeg). That will allow you to either browse for or type in the name of the file you're interested in editing.

You could also associate JPEG files with MS Paint if you want to (semi-permanently) open those types of files automatically with MS Paint, but that is a bit more involved. E-mail me if you're real interested in doing that and I'll send you instructions.
