How do i post pictures?

Hi there, i have been reading and reading and i just cannot figure out how to post a picture into a thread. Is it only possible to do this be referring to a website somewhere? I want to post up pictures that i have on my computer, but that are not already posted on the internet anywhere.

Generally speaking, yes. The pictures need to be on the internet somewhere. The picture is then linked using the Image tag code, and is included in the post (if where you have your pics allows this).

Thanks Glenn, I just sorta figured that out by reading between the lines of some other posts. Now i need to find a way to post pictures up on the internet too....

Nope. The only forum that allows uploads is the Photo Showcase forum, and those are purged at 30 days or so.

Thanks for the info! I just had remembered that I saw an upload button once I just figured it was because of membership. Oh well. If you ask nicely IslandXJ I could host some pics for you.

Thanks very much for the offer Alan, but I think I will undertake this process on my own. Its about dang time that I learned to do this stuff!

okay, i'll say it. check out www.sb-host.com (i hope that's it, correct me if i'm wrong). rumor has it that they offer web space. i would be contacting them if i didn't get a gigantic amount of free storage through school. i'm pretty sure someone already participating in this thread can help you out with it.
