My friends and I call this c0ck sauce......and it's excellent on everything.

Rooster sauce is what its commonly called here. I adore hot sauce, but theres not much around here than screams HOOOOOOOOT.

Why d'you think I started this thread? I think I've run across two Class IV sauces in the last twenty years, and they damned sure weren't anywhere in California!

(Class IV - my own designation. See above.)

@DeftwillP - that girl that hurled it up is precisely why we can't find a decent hot sauce anymore. Not without signing six waivers and doing some digging just to see who has it.

People do something stupid, then they try to say it wasn't their fault (it was) and demand to be protected from themselves - which screws it up for the rest of us, dammit!

I recall my oldest asking me how much Insanity to put in a bowl of salsa for his chips to kick it up a bit. I told him, "You're not used to it. One drop, and stir well."

He did five. About thirty seconds after he went into his room, I saw him running down the hallway like his arse was on fire (you should have heard him the next day!) and he stuck his head in the kitchen sink and started running water. I swear he drank for something like two minutes straight - he then stopped because it wasn't helping.

I could have told him that - when he looked up from the water, I was standing there with a couple slices of bread in my hand. "Here, eat this. It will help."

It's been ten years - he's still trying to work up to the sauces that I like! And he though pepperoncini peppers were hot...

Chris learned from Dave's mistake - he listens to me when I tell him things like that.

one of my few actual talents, is the ability to eat very, VERY hot things. thanks to dad for starting me on tabasco around 5-6 years old. :guitar: i've only had a couple sauces that actually, truly burned me. the most memorable was "Da Bomb - Beyond Insanity" sauce. if you're really into HOT sauce, i do recommend picking some up. thankfully, i have at least two Hot Licks stores within driving distance. my sauce o' the moment is "Habanero Punch - TKO", very good flavor with a damn fine burn. if i'm heavy with it, my nose runs like crazy, the back of my neck sweats, and i get hiccups-good stuff.

I havent sampled a whole lot, but there is the palce (at least used to be) in Monterey.. called Slow Burn? They had some hot stuff.
One of my mom's co-workers who is an older Hispanic lady, makes some damn great hot salsa. Could be hotter tho (=

Habanero's are for girls,if it doesn't have Jolokia's its might as well be "Taco Bell"!

I have tried a few of these hot sauces...you guys have nice taste :-)

I work at a Hibachi restaurant, and they got me hooked on Tuong Ot Sriracha

Kick ass stuff...you can get it at most walmarts too. I use it on everything.

LOVE that stuff.

i worked two summers doing summer cleaning at a elementary school, my boss the head custodian loved it, and i had frozen school lunch chicken nuggets with this stuff and a coke EVERY weekday for lunch. delicious.

Only 357,000 scoville units, but this is the hottest thing I've ever had except for the time I ate a habanero pepper in a bet. I got a co-worker to try it(she says shes Indian, she can handle it) and Firehouse Subs stopped carrying that one on the counter after this girl went outside and threw up in the parking lot.

I had this stuff at Firehouse subs in Virginia a few years ago, It is some seriously hot stuff! I made the mistake of rubbing BOTH of my eyes by mistake when i covered my mouth while breathing in. My girlfriend couldn't stop laughing at me after i came out of the bathroom 6 miniuts later with 2 red eyes and my tounge hanging out.

Good times!

I have this in my house and I don't know why. Tuong Ot Sriracha is great stuff.

My kind of thread!

First exposure to Sriracha was in a Vietnamese restaurant back in 1990.
Dipped a spring role in it and fell in love. Great on the side of fried rice as well.
I've even been known to put a shot into my hot 'n' sour soup on occassion.

I love to soak fresh unsalted french fries in Cholula before covering them in a
healthy serving of chili sprinkled with cheese and onions... whoa, that's a highway!

Just about any brown or brown-orange habanero sauce rocks my world.
Can't seem to get enough of some of them... when you can find them.

I brought a bottle of this back from Belize 10 years ago. It's still about half full...as potent as it is, I'm giving it the shelf life of a Twinkie (i.e. it'll never go bad).

In this review, they say it's more of a novelty, than a food substance. Winner of the 1999 highest scoville award in New Mexico, you really do need to use it by the drop.
Yummy!

Anybody have a good recipe for a hotwings sauce?

I like Frank's Red Hot and butter mixed together. Deep fry the wings until they are really crispy.

While they are frying melt some butter and mix in the Frank's. I like a 2 parts butter to 1 part Frank's mix.

Once the wings are ready drop them in you wing sauce mix and coat the whole wing. Let them cool off a little and enjoy.
