Hot German potato salad...

I am sharing the recipe for the potato salad I made and took up to Eagle Rock. For anyone who cares or wants to try it.

5lbs Potatoes
1lb Bacon
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 tbsp bacon grease
XXXX weed
garlic salt

Cook your bacon set it aside and save the bacon grease.
Peel and cut potato into big chucks boil for about 20-30 mins.
Then cut into small cubes.
Put sugar, vinegar, bacon grease, and water in to pot and start cooking as it starts boiling add potatoes and stir until sauce thickens. Add bacon. Then add XXXX weed and garlic salt until you like the taste. You can add onions if you like them also. I don't.
