The Hoosier Outdoor Experience is Indiana’s largest, hands-on outdoor recreation event. Featuring over 50 activities and 120 grassroots partners, this free weekend at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis will provide the opportunity to learn the basics of outdoor recreation available across Indiana’s extraordinary public lands.

Basically this is an event to show the general public all of the activities available to them at Indiana's public land. Geared more towards city folk or new residents, but is a fun time for the whole family. I was there last year with Redbird Foundation, and I will be there again this year. They have hands-on activities at almost every display including shooting clay pigeons, bow and arrow targets, canoeing, hiking, fishing, etc. Fat Boys Jeepers out of Indy will be giving Jeep rides. Last year the demand for Jeep rides was so great RF stepped in with our rigs to take people around the "trail".

I know it would be a long trip for most of you, but if anyone finds themselves in Indianapolis the weekend of Sept 18-19, please stop in and say hey!

More info and activities list here: http://www.in.gov/dnr/5009.htm

Me and my co-pilot may come. I can just crash at his house and come by. You gonna be there both days Byron? He has been my best friend for nearly 13 years and has NEVER gone fishing with me. Maybe this can spark his interest.

Cool, just look for the Redbird booth. I would volunteer to help you out but my work schedule looks pretty dang busy til at least January.

Sounds pretty sweet, I may just have to convince Brad we should hit this up.

That's funny...I've hated you for a year and a half and I've already gone fishing with you.

I know more people will be at the 4x4 Expo this weekend, but this will be going on as well. Plus, I'll be there :D

As long as the Rain stops long enough for me to walk to a few booths plus the Redbird one, I will be there. Forcast says its supposed to on Sunday, but if Indy weather is anything like Chicago weather.....every 20min you will get a different weather condition. Sunny...cloudy...sunny....rainy...sunny...cold....cloudy...warm....rainy...sunny....cold.....so on and so on.
