Homemade rocksliders with RE long arm

Finally!! Down to painting them and putting it back together. I choose to put Rustoleum red oxide primer and semi-flat black topcoat. I sanded everything down with 80 grit sandpaper on a DA. I wiped it all down with wax and grease remover and blew it off. I sprayed the primer with a HVLP gravity feed paint gun. Here it is ready for topcoat tomorrow.

I hope your joking because I could not make them for less than jcroffroad.com or any of those other companies. I got lots of time but hardly any tools so it takes longer than what it takes those guys to make them.

Well here they are. All painted and ready to be put on.

Here are some action shots, already scraping the paint off. I love this part of the project.

Nice job on the sliders, especially like the way you have them mounted up.

Hey thanks, I looked around and liked your design of the mounting feet but did not like self tapping bolts so I went with two bolts all the way through a sleeved frame. I also liked that yours tied into the front leaf spring mount but I figured I could do the same thing by drilling and welding a nut inside the mounting leg. If I had the money to do everything I wanted to do I probably would have purchased your sliders. Making them myself gives me satisfaction of a job well done and frees up some money to purchase the metal for front and rear bumpers.
