Anyone else have issues this morning with the cold. I stood in negative 8 degrees while I waited for my bus downtown. Bus ended up being 40 minutes late. I have been at work for about 30 minutes and am just now regaining feeling in my toes! I love snow but HATE the COLD!

it was 4 degrees at my house yesterday at 930. with the wind howling at 30mph

It was 55 degrees in my classroom this morning when I walked in.

-7 when I left the house this morning... my 750 CCA from my redtop were screaming (moaning?) for help. Barely friggin turned over.

right now its -7 where i live in thornton and its 5 in boulder where i work. last night was supposedly a record breaking low for the date.

has anyone else had problems starting their jeeps is the really cold temps? a few mornings ago it was a little hesitant to start and this morning it was a really rough/slow start.

-18 in greeley but a guy at work said his weather station at his house said -23 the jeep chugged twice the other day when starting it so I cleaned out the garage enough to get both jeeps in and I'm glad I did because it started up pretty easy this morning. we have about 10 work trucks that we think the fuel jelled up in last night.

Yeah mine barely turned over with my 770cca battery!

The truck said actual temp was -4 on the way to work, with a 25mph wind i realy dont wanna know the wind chill

who else has seen a diffecence with block heaters/battery blankets? after this morning im considering getting one.

Oh, you'll see a difference... but for the record, the reason the PO of my rig installed the stroker I enjoy is due to a failed block heater that resulted in a cracked block. If I lived in Montana and had to deal with this kind of cold regularaly (without a garage), I'd probably run the risk, but since its only occasional in Colorado, I'd just buy an 850CCA+ battery if my rig was always outside...

My battery is nothing special. I got it from NAPA and I believe it's 660 CCA's. I've had a block heater (freeze plug type) on there for almost 3 years now I guess and mine fires right up in the mornings and I've had no issues with it.

guess I've been lucky. my jeeps have always started in the cold.
when I lived in ND I ran an optima red top, mobil 1, and didn't have a block heater on my nissan and it started down to -30 with no problems.

mine started this morning, red top and mobil 1, but it was none too happy about it...
