Hi, I got a lightly used Powermaster high output alternator that fits a 4.2L Jeep eninge. It is in great shape but doesn't fit my 1994 cherokee so I have no need for it. I got it for my old wrangler but never installed it and ended up selling the wrangler. $75 B/O or trade for one that fits an a 4.0L HO jeep engine.
Thanks,
Ricky

Just to save everyone some trouble, does it look like the Delco SI on my "Alternator ID" page? The SI is the first pair of pictures, the Delco CS is the second, and the Nippondenso is the third...

For everyone's reference, 1991-up XJ and MJ used a Nippondenso alternator. The Delco CS was used 1987-1990, and the Delco SI used 1986 and earlier.

It is the alternator came off a 1990 4.2 engine so I guess it is teh Delco CS. I do take paypal and the alternator won't work with an 2000 XJ.,

Thanks everyone,

Ricky

Check the pictures - there were two internally-regulated Delcos in common use, and I think the Delco SI made it all the way up until the 258 was phased out in 1990.

The Delco SI will fit the 1984-1986XJ, either engine, as I recall. 1987 saw the introduction of the Delco CS-130 in the Jeep (there are three basic sizes of Delco CS - CS-121, CS-130, and CS-144. These all refer to the size of the armature, as I recall.)
