First, allow myself to introduce... myself.
My name's Mitchell, and I'm a Jeep-a-holic. How so you might say? Well let's just say I had about $1800 to go toward my Bursar Bill with Indiana University (my account there for room & board, etc). Let's just say I accidentally ordered a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift with some OME shocks, a SYE, driveshaft, and 33" tires recently. My parents don't know, but it was my money anywho...
About my Jeep - I have a '99 XJ, 4.0L, auto, NP231, with 123,000 miles.
The previous owner was a Doctor and I have the golf-ball dents in my hood to prove it. I'll try to update my signature with some specs on my Jeep, but I'm real proud of it and I've done everything myself (so far).
I've actually met two
members here in Bloomington - Pat, with the white XJ, well trimmed, and Gene works at
, is Pat's good friend, owns an MJ with a lift/tires, and we talked a good bit about my XJ yesterday.
I've been a member since last February, but I mostly lurked, I hadn't done much to my XJ at the time, and I've only recently started posting now that I'm doing stuff to my Jeep, and have read as much info as I can (tech articles, magazines, posts here). I have a little bit of negative feedback (-431) because I tried to help out a member in the "For Sale" forum here get an accurate price on a monitor he was selling. I got some mean PMs from that forum moderator, as well as several negative feedback things. Now I know I guess to PM the seller, instead of post on his thread. So a little MWC "welcome" feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Anyhow, I turn 22 this upcoming Thursday, I graduate Ivy Tech State College May 13th with an Assoc. Degree in Computer Information Systems: Microsoft Networking. I'm good with that stuff, so if anyone needs any help or advice, feel free to PM me or shoot me an e-mail!
My recent news is that I ordered a lift, new shocks, and am getting a SYE/driveshaft and some 33" meats next week. I am also doing a computer consulting job for "Extreme Performance", the local truck/Jeep/4x4 shop here in Bloomington, where I'm building them some new computers (including dyno machine), a small wireless network, and setting up a website for them! They do great fab work, lifts, engine mods, everything you can think of, and they're the only "Rhino-Lining" center in the area.
It's nice to "meet" some of you, and I can't wait to take my XJ out on a trail run with y'all (I'm familiar with The Badlands) and put some faces to names!
Also, my AIM screenname is "Random McFly" - I'm on all the time and love to talk about Jeeps or anything!
