Help me decide decals

My Jeep has forever been known as "The beast." Myself, my friends, my family, random people I meet, they all call it the beast. I've been wanting to get a name put on it for quite some time now, and what better than "The Beast?" A couple of ideas have been floating around in my head, from the front bumpers, to the doors, to the hood, to the hatch. Here are a couple crude photoshop pictures of my ideas. They aren't exactly the font I want, but they work. Any advice of colors, font styles, placement, or anything else would be greatly appreciated. :helpme:

I don't know why anyone would consider that a beast. Sitting on 30's does NOT make it a beast.

i agree. is it called 'the beast' because it can haul and extra pound of ground beef home from the supermarket?

but seriously, what you are showing there makes as much sense as putting fox racing stickers on a mexicans lowrider...

dang it, and all this time I thought it did. well what are the qualifications one must have to name their Jeep 'the beast' ??

call your rig whatever you want. of your two options shown, I'd go with #1. I like plain and simple, and low key. if I were you and had the choise, I would either do it in a stock type font somewhere under the stock lettering so it fit in but didn't stand out.

or use a paint colour much like you have, but in matte colour... again so its low key and doesn't stand out. only those who know about it would see it, or anyone who really looks closely.

Why not get someone to make you a vinyl decal? Fast, cheap, temporary...

That way you can put it on a window somewhere, so when you turn 17 it can be easily removed.

I thought the one on the hatch said "The Breast" at first glance :dunno:

The one on the front looks OK. You should have a logo to go with it, like a Chero-Man flexing out of a puddle of toxic sludge dripping goo from his fender-hands. :eyes:

It was nicknamed "The Beast" because it's been through hell and back. Nothing says hell on a vehicle like 15 foot drops off a bridge, driving through rivers until the engine stalls from water intake, and hitting 3 foot of muddy water at 80 and hydroplaning over it. My brother had this before I did, and he gave it too me, telling me if I fixed it, I could have it. And after everything its been through, it still runs like a new car. It takes everything I can throw at it; even my cousin hitting a house with it. I'm 23 by the way smartass.

Well i have a couple funny ones on my back window along with my MWC sticker, NAXJA sticker and a couple stickers from the parts i've put on it Oh and my winterfest sticker too. If it was a street car i would probably only have one. i.e. when i get a TDI it will have a TDI club sticker on second thought they have license plate frames too. BTW calling a stock XJ the beast is like calling a huge guy Tiny. Its funny!

Don't paint it. If you regret it it is 100 times harder to remove than vinyl. Also, what ever font you used on the back will be horrible to cut out of vinyl. The one on the front isn't much better.

Chill out dude, just messin' around. It DEF woulda helped your cause if you'd have explained the backstory beforehand.

Hell, if I would ever hit a 3' mud puddle and hydroplane across, there's a good chance I'd be calling my rig a beast as well...and a better chance that I'd be needing to change my pants.

Doesnt everyone believe their XJ is a beast? lets face it, they are. Non XJ owners do not expect a stock XJ to do what it can do. takes some people by surprise. I can agree with a sticker, that way if you dont like it's location you can always change it. You can always be obnoxious and put it on the front fender's similar to the "rubicon" set up. You see a lot of people put stuff there, and it usually doesnt look that bad.

That's what we used to do with it, because he wanted it to die. It took everything he threw at it until he blew the gas shocks and let it sit for two years. It then no longer started or drove, so he gave it to me. I towed it to my place with a chain, a truck, and sore arms and right leg from steering and braking without assistance from the car. It's been history since then. Runs like a champ, still wins races, and best of all, it was nearly free. Only had to pay for parts.

don't worry about explaining yourself in here.

if people have a problem with what you want to do with YOUR rig then they could just skip reading/posting/re-checking the thread.

low key decals, stock lettering, stock locations. rock it the way YOU want it.
