Help! If its not one thing its another!

My XJ wont go over 3500-3800 rpms. You give it the necessary gas and it just bogs down and seems like it wants to stall out. We replaced the TPS last night so thats not the problem. You guys got any suggestions?

get the cat converter flow checked it sounds like a plugged cat...

DITTO. Happens all the time.

or it could be a pulged fuel filter

ok pulled off the cat and muffler and it still does the same thing. Will get a new fuel filter next, any other suggestions?

I can put the car in neutral and it will rev as high as i want it to, but when im in drive it wont go past 3500.
