Help !! Anyone around Blueridge/Ellijay Ga.?

Hello all, I've got a friend in blueridge area that bought my wife's old blue xj and it was doing good for him until about a month ago the gas milage went down hill and it started sputtering at different points in acceleration, now not driveable, he's been trying different parts, etc. on it to try and fix it but he's no xj tech and I'm in fla so I'm not much help...any how...he's having xj issues and needs a hand figuring out whats wrong and is on a limited budget so towing it to a garage and letting them hand him a fat bill is kinda out of the question. Is anyone up there close enough to help?

PS He wants to make atleast one day of the upcoming tellico xj ride. A good xj trail ride might just be what it takes to get him to sell the topless doorless yj he's having to drive to work in now.

yellow did you point him towards the OEM forum? Isn't that a 4.0L? What has he done so far? There are several members in GA. Where is Ellijay?

Ghost thanks...he's up on the north ga. border near tenn and n.c., he found the oem thread...might have gotten some help, more help and trial riding connections needed for the area...just moved up there...
